Lu Pengcheng, born in Changzhi, Shanxi Province,doctor. He is now an associate professor in the Department of journalism,School of Journalism and communication, East China Normal University.
Courses taught: Marxist news thoughts, methods of masscommunication research, news photography, etc.
Teaching achievements: He has been awarded"teaching reform and research project of East China NormalUniversity" and "the second new teaching star of East China NormalUniversity".
Research interests: Chinese modern news history
In recent years, he has published more than 20 papersin academic journals such as Journalism＆Communication, ChineseJournal of Journalism＆Communication, Journalism Bimonthly,Modern Communication, etc. The research results were funded by the Ministry ofEducation Social Science Youth program. His doctoral dissertation has beenawarded "Excellent doctoral thesis of Hubei Province" and "Thesecond prize of the 13th excellent achievement of philosophy and socialsciences of Jiangsu Province". Research papers have also been funded bythe media and Communication Department of City University of Hong Kong,"Chinese Mainland journalism and communication Young scholars visitingprogram 2012-2013" and "The eighth visiting scholar in communicationprogram" of School of Journalism and communication, Chinese University ofHong Kong.
