On 26 February, the 5th SFLEP Cup National College Students’ Intercultural Competence Contest was held in Shanghai successfully. ECNU’s team, composed by Hu Junhao, an undergraduate majoring in Spanish of the Class 2021, Xu Liming, an undergraduate majoring in Japanese of the Class 2021 and Luo Ying, an undergraduate majoring in Journalism of the Class 2019, who won the runner-up award called the National Grand Prize, with their coaches Li Hui and Jin Yi from the School of Foreign Languages.
SNICC is guided by China Education Association for International Exchange, hosted by the Shanghai University of International Studies and organized by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press. Aimed at serving the national strategy and enhancing talent cultivation, the contest revolves around “Strengthening Cultural Confidence and Promoting International Understanding” to provide a platform for students and teachers to show intercultural communication ability and exchange intercultural education experience. It has attracted 1,448 participants from nearly 500 universities across the country.
