Enjoying humanistic tradition and publication resources of ECNU, the major of Editing and Publication aims to develop high-level professional students who have theoretical knowledge of modern editing and publication and skills of practice. It stresses that students should possess deep cultural accumulation and professional knowledge, and should know about policies and regulations about publication and publicity. It requires students to master fundamental skills of publication industry to adapt to the demand of publication industry for talents under the all media circumstances. Graduates work in publication house, magazines, newspapers and other new media enterprises, such as SMG, Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau, and Shanghai Century Publishing Group. Many graduates also study abroad, such as in Northwestern University and Leeds University.
