The Degree Committee of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education approved major of Journalism in 2005 and the School enrolled M.A. students in 2006. M.A. of Journalism focuses on progress of journalism, gathers theoretical resources of multidiscipline and emphasizes quality and quantity.

The specializations of M.A. of Journalism are Journalism Theory and Practice, New Media Studies, and Public Opinions and Crisis Dissemination. The professional courses are Communication Studies; New Media Studies; Media, Culture and Society; News Practice Studies and Critical Journalism. M.A. graduates can be engaged in news gathering and editing in journalism agencies. They can also work in institutions of the Party and governments, in publication institutions and large stated-owned and private enterprises. In recent years, all graduates in this major has got jobs and are favored by the society.
